The Wedding Cakery in Guisborough is a small, friendly, home run business whose aim is to create the perfect wedding cake to make your big day extra special.
All cakes are made using the highest quality, fresh ingredients and come in a range of flavours, including:
- Rich chocolate cake with chocolate, peanut butter, hazelnut, raspberry, black cherry or salted caramel filling
- Vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream and raspberry, strawberry, passion fruit or salted caramel filling
- Lemon sponge with lemon buttercream and lemon curd or blueberry conserve
- Red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream
- Coconut cake with coconut buttercream and passionfruit conserve
- Traditional fruit cake or chocolate fruit cake
- Sticky toffee cake with sticky toffee buttercream
Allergy & Dietary Warnings:
Unfortunately The Wedding Cakery does not provide allergen free baked goods. We take great care to avoid cross-contamination, however we cannot guarantee any of our recipes are 100% free of any of the 14 recognised food allergens, including:
• Cereals containing gluten (such as wheat, rye, barley and oats)
• Eggs
• Peanuts
• Nuts (tree nuts including Almond, Hazelnuts, Walnuts, Cashews, Pecan Nuts, Brazil Nuts, Pistachio Nuts)
• Milk
• Soya
Natural dyes, artificial dyes, artificial flavourings, sugar, artificial sweeteners, artificial colour and other allergens which are not listed may also be present.

My name is Michaela and I moved to Guisborough in November 2017.
I previously lived in Catterick, North Yorkshire, where my love for baking cakes in the home kitchen quickly grew from a hobby into a part-time business, offering all types of celebration cakes.
Cake is my passion so I've decided to start up my business here in Guisborough where I now specialise in wedding cakes, creating a bespoke centre piece for your special day.
I offer a personal and friendly service and my aim is to work closely with my customers to transform their ideas into a beautiful creation that not only looks great but tastes great too. Don't worry if you don't have any specific ideas as we can work together to get some inspiration to design your perfect cake.

Consultations
I can offer face to face consultations at The Wedding Cakery in Guisborough or happy to discuss your cake ideas via telephone, messenger, email or face time.
We will usually start with a discussion about your wedding itself, including your venue, number of guests and colour schemes or themes. We can then look at any inspiration you may have for your cake design, in the form of swatches, pictures, favourite flowers, etc. Once I've gathered this information I'll sketch up some designs and will send to you to have a look at and then we can work together until we get your design just right.
I offer a delicious Cake Taster Box for you to take away (or this can be delivered locally or posted via first class recorded delivery). This is a great way to try our most popular flavours in the comfort of your own home.
The cakes come in a presentation box which contains 6 delicious slices from the following selection:
- Rich chocolate cake with chocolate, peanut butter, hazelnut, raspberry, black cherry or salted caramel filling
- Vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream and raspberry, strawberry, passion fruit or salted caramel filling
- Lemon sponge with lemon buttercream and lemon curd or blueberry conserve
- Red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream or white chocolate buttercream
- Coconut cake with coconut buttercream and passionfruit conserve
- Sticky toffee cake with sticky toffee buttercream
- Spiced chocolate, walnut & fruit cake
The boxes cost £25 including collection or delivery local to Guisborough or £30 for 1st class recorded delivery (usually received next day). They are available 3 times a year (excluding peak season months - June to Sept).
Each box includes a £20 voucher to redeem against a wedding cake when ordered with us (one voucher per order).

Pricing
All wedding cakes are individually priced depending on flavour, size and design.
The following is a guide price and is based on standard finger portions of approx. 5 inches tall, 1 inch wide, 1 inch in length. We can also provide taller tiers which will produce additional portions.
A more accurate quotation will be provided following consultation and based on number of servings, cake type, design and detail included:
3 tier round - small (9", 7", 5") approx. 95 portions - from £380
3 tier round - large (10", 8", 6") approx. 120 portions - from £480
4 tier round (11", 9", 7", 5") approx. 165 portions - from £650
5 tier round (12", 10", 8", 6", 4") approx. 206 portions - from £775
Once you have decided on your cake, a non-refundable booking fee equalling 25% of the total value of your cake order (including delivery charges if applicable) will secure your date and then final payment is required 4 weeks before your wedding.
All cakes are delivered and set up at your location - delivery is free within a 10 mile radius and then charged at 50p per mile thereafter.
